Let’s Get You Operational

🔋 Solopipe Ships Empty — Please Fill Before Use

Solopipe arrives empty for safety reasons, so it’s essential to fill it with high-quality butane before your first session.
Using low-grade fuel (like Zippo butane) can clog or damage the ignition system.

We recommend at least 5× refined butane for clean, consistent performance.

Recommended Brands:

  • 🔗 Vector 14× Refined Butane – Ultra-pure, cold-filtered, ideal for Solopipe

  • 🔗 Newport Zero Extra Purified Butane – Includes adapter tips for easy refills

🔧 Solopipe Quick Start Guide

How to Fill with Butane

  1. Turn Solopipe upside down.

  2. Insert the nozzle into the refill valve — it should fit snugly with no leakage.

  3. Fill using short 2-second bursts, repeating 5–6 times.

  4. Gently shake to distribute the gas internally.

  5. Let it sit for 90 seconds to stabilize before lighting.

Adjusting the Flame

  • Turn the flame dial all the way to the right (-) to shut it off.

  • Slowly turn left (+) to increase to your desired flame size (max ~1 inch / 1.5 cm).

  • Adjust as needed based on altitude and temperature.

Still Not Lighting?

Let’s troubleshoot:

  • What brand of butane are you using?

  • Can you light the bowl with a separate flame (e.g., a lighter)?

If yes, gas is flowing and the issue may be with ignition.

If none of the above works, don’t stress — we’ve got you covered.

🔥 Common Issues & Fixes

No Flame When Pressing Ignitor

  • Confirm butane is filled and settled (wait 90 seconds).

  • Adjust flame dial upward.

  • Try purging excess air (press fill valve lightly upside down to release trapped gas).

Flame is Weak or Sputters

  • Use high-quality refined butane.

  • Adjust the flame control dial upward.

  • Purge any trapped air post-refill.

Ignitor Clicks but Doesn’t Spark

  • Try cleaning the ignitor jet with compressed air or a small pin.

  • Low or cheap fuel is the most common cause — refill with premium butane.

🧼 Cleaning Your Solopipe

  • Use the included cleaning tool or a pipe cleaner for the bowl and airpath.

  • Soak removable metal parts (not the ignition system) in isopropyl alcohol.

  • Let everything dry fully before reassembling.
